Blue Frontier
Software Developer
June 2021 – Present
As a versatile full-stack software developer, I mainly worked with C# MVC, SQL, and Knockout.js while contributing to various projects beyond the software of our main client in the medical industry. I was appointed lead developer for a React Native application, which opened the door to further involvement in larger-scale React Native projects. Taking the initiative, I proposed and gained approval for an innovative application idea that became an R&D project, enabling my team to deepen our expertise in React Native and .NET Core. Throughout these projects, I emphasized unit testing to ensure code quality, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
VTUK
Software Developer
August 2018 – June 2021
As an integral full-stack software developer, I primarily developed in VTUK’s flagship product in the prop-tech industry, developing both front-end and back-end solutions. On the front end, I utilized HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while integrating back-end functionality using C# MVC and SQL Server. I played a key role in migrating and rebuilding several features from the legacy desktop software to the new platform, successfully delivering high-quality solutions under tight deadlines.
DAC Beachcroft
IT Technical Developer
March 2018 – August 2018
As an IT Technical Developer, my main responsibilities were to develop in several case management systems including SolCase, VisualFiles, Proclaim & Partner for Windows. As well as developing in case management systems, I also used C# to create an executable which integrates with SolCase and amend several C# applications in order to migrate over to another share drive. During my time at DAC Beachcroft, I drastically decreased the backlog of BAU work which the development team had accumulated before I joined. This allowed the team to concentrate on projects which needed to be delivered to important clients in short timescales.
TLT LLP
IT Junior Process Developer/IT Process Developer
June 2014 – March 2018
As an IT Process Developer, my main responsibilities were to develop in the company’s case management system, SolCase. In SolCase, I developed scripts to form large processes, created screens to store data, and then extracted this data to form reports for clients. Aside from developing in SolCase, I created reports and altered databases in SQL Server Management Studio. During my employment at TLT, I trained myself to have a basic understanding of C# and .NET and created some small applications.
Graphics Designer
Freelance
2008 – 2009
I began teaching myself graphic design with Adobe Photoshop CS2, simply because I enjoyed art and then noticed the creative things that graphic designers were capable of. I followed tutorials and joined a few graphic design forums online which increased my knowledge and improved my skills. I soon realised that graphic design was a potential market and branded myself. I attracted small time artists and built a fairly reasonable client base which resulted in revenue.
